iPad stands, which is best?

The iPad is still very much the must have gadget, so to be seen out and about holding one is pretty cool. I have lost count of the number of friends who have delved into their bags, pulled out a new iPad and proudly revealed their latest prized acquisition.  Each iPad is an object of beauty and as we can attest a delight to both use and hold, but there are time when it would be great to have your hands free or a more comfortable way to use facetime.

The number of stands for the iPad has and continues to expand daily, now there are so many it is hard to choose which one is best without reading a million reviews and surfing the web for hours. I have put together some of the iPad stands which I have recently discovered online, all offering the hands free or more comfortable positioning for use or viewing of the iPad. I have checked the reviews and tried also to find the best deals online for you, so if you are looking for a new stand for your iPad have a look at these.

Griffin GC16043 Wave Stand for iPad : Griffin GC16043 Wave Stand for iPad

Marketed asThe perfect angle for viewing, tapping, and typing’. The Griffin Wave Stand makes a very small impact on the desktop, it’s  solid and an attractive design and can once again deal with the iPad in either landscape or portrait orientation. It does not however allow flexible multiple viewing angles, only allowing for two holding positions, one almost upright and the second very reclined, true these are probably enough for most people and the two essential angles but for me I like more flexibility. On the positive side, its small size makes it ideal to carry with you and its no moving parts makes it pretty hard to break. It  has non slip surfaces to hold your iPad securely.

In customer reviews the Griffin wave scores about 4 out of 5 and costs at present only £6.00, down from it’s recommended retail price of £19.99, but it does have an added delivery charge of £4.99 which brings it up to £10.99 for UK delivery. The low pivot point of the rocker let’s you adjust your iPad back and type that email with the ease and comfort of using a desktop keyboard.
Another excellent feature is that it is designed to allow the iPad to be charging while in use, there is a specially accommodated slot on the rear to allow the cable connection, one of those thing that shows someone has actually used common sense while designing ( sadly it’s not all that common). Once again this stand will hold your iPad securely in either landscape or portrait orientation and allows you to posttion your iPad for optimum comfortable use either for face time or typing or whatever.
